By scheduling service with Hott Bins, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Bin Assignment & No Bin Sharing
Service is provided only for the specific bin(s) registered to your account.
- Bins may not be shared, rotated, swapped, or exchanged with neighbors or other households.
- A subscription purchased for one bin applies only to that bin.
- Additional bins must be added to your account to receive service.
This policy helps ensure accurate scheduling, service records, and fair pricing.
2. We Are Not Waste Haulers
Hott Bins is a trash bin cleaning and sanitizing service. We are not a waste collection or disposal company.
Before service:
- Bins must be emptied by your waste collection provider.
- Small amounts of residual debris stuck to the bottom of a bin are acceptable.
- Full bags of trash, loose garbage, food waste, yard waste, or other materials remaining in the bin may result in service being postponed or rescheduled.
3. Pet Waste & Prohibited Materials
For safety and regulatory reasons, Hott Bins cannot remove, transport, or dispose of:
- Pet waste
- Human waste
- Chemicals
- Oils
- Paint
- Hazardous materials
- Sharps or needles
- Animal carcasses
- Any other regulated or unsafe materials
If prohibited materials are found inside a bin:
- We may refuse service,
- Reschedule service,
- Charge an additional cleaning fee when applicable, or
- Clean the bin and return the prohibited material to the bin if disposal is not permitted.
4. Scheduling & Recycling Bin Availability (Subscription Customers)
If your service includes multiple bins and one or more bins are unavailable on your scheduled service date:
- We will clean all available bins during the scheduled visit.
- We may return on a future date to clean any remaining bins.
- Future services may be adjusted so all eligible bins can be cleaned during the same visit whenever possible.
5. Scheduling & Recycling Bin Availability (One-Time Customers)
For one-time cleanings involving multiple bins, service may be scheduled for the next available date when all requested bins are accessible and available for cleaning.
6. Schedule Changes & Notifications
Service dates may occasionally change due to:
- Weather conditions
- Holidays
- Equipment issues
- Route adjustments
- Operational requirements
Customers may receive:
- A service reminder prior to the scheduled cleaning date
- An “en route” notification when available
- A completion notification after service is finished
Customers are responsible for ensuring bins are accessible on the scheduled service day.
7. Trash Collection Timing Disclaimer
Waste collection schedules are controlled by local waste providers and may vary from day to day.
Because collection times are unpredictable:
- Hott Bins operates on a flexible service schedule.
- Most cleanings are performed during afternoon hours for route efficiency.
- Service may occasionally be completed the following day if routes run later than expected.
Customers may leave bins out or in a visible, accessible location until service has been completed.
8. Bin Placement & Property Access
For safety and liability reasons:
- We do not enter locked gates.
- We do not enter secured backyards.
- We do not access areas containing aggressive animals.
- We do not enter areas that present safety concerns for our technicians.
Customers may provide placement preferences through their customer account or service notes.
We will make reasonable efforts to return bins as close as safely possible to the requested location.
9. Cleaning & Sanitization Guarantee
Hott Bins guarantees professional cleaning and sanitization of serviced bins.
However, we do not guarantee removal of:
- Scratches
- Scuff marks
- Permanent stains
- Paint
- Caulking
- Construction materials
- Adhesives
- Tar
- Rust stains
- Trash truck claw marks
- Discoloration caused by age, sun exposure, or normal wear
Results may vary depending on the condition of the bin.
10. Weather Policy
Service may be delayed due to adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to:
- Rain
- High winds
- Severe storms
- Flooding
- Unsafe operating conditions
If weather causes a delay, service will be automatically rescheduled to the next available service date.
11. Missed Service Due to Customer Error
A missed service may occur if:
- Bins are not left out or accessible
- Bins are blocked by vehicles or other obstacles
- Gates are locked
- Pets prevent safe access
- Unsafe conditions exist
A rescheduling fee of up to $10 may be charged for return visits resulting from customer-related access issues.
12. Payment Policy
Payment is required to secure and maintain service.
Initial Service
Customers are charged upon signup for their first scheduled cleaning.
Recurring Service
Recurring customers are billed on the 1st day of each month, regardless of their specific cleaning date.
Payment secures placement on the service schedule for that billing period.
Customers are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method on file.
Failure to maintain a valid payment method may result in delayed, suspended, or canceled service.
13. Cancellation, Service Commitments & Skip Requests
Monthly & Quarterly Plans
Monthly and quarterly subscription plans require a minimum commitment of three (3) months.
Put My Bins on Blast Plan
The Put My Bins on Blast plan is prepaid and includes twelve (12) scheduled cleanings.
Because this service is prepaid, no refunds will be provided for unused cleanings.
Cancellation Requests
Cancellation requests must be submitted before the next billing cycle on the 1st day of the month.
If a cancellation request is received after payment has been processed:
- Service will continue through the current billing period.
- Cancellation will take effect before the next billing cycle.
Skip Requests
Customers may request to skip a scheduled cleaning through their customer portal.
Approval of skip requests may be subject to scheduling and route availability.
14. Refund Policy
Refunds are not provided for completed services, scheduled services, prepaid plans, or partially completed service commitments.
Refunds may only be issued if Hott Bins:
- Misses or skips a scheduled service,
- Fails to notify the customer, and
- Is unable to reschedule the service within a reasonable timeframe.
Refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of Hott Bins.
15. Service Area & Expansion Policy
Service availability is based on route coverage, scheduling capacity, and operational requirements.
Customers outside the current service area may be eligible for one-time cleanings depending on location and scheduling availability.
As Hott Bins expands, customers located in newly added service areas may receive:
- Priority scheduling opportunities
- Promotional offers
- Loyalty discounts
16. Property Damage & Existing Bin Conditions
Hott Bins is not responsible for pre-existing damage, including:
- Cracked bins
- Broken lids
- Damaged wheels
- Faded plastic
- Structural defects
- Normal wear and tear
While every effort is made to handle bins carefully, older or damaged bins may fail during normal handling.
17. Photo Documentation
Hott Bins may take photographs before, during, or after service for purposes including:
- Quality control
- Service verification
- Training
- Marketing and promotional materials
Customer names, payment information, and personal contact information will never be disclosed in marketing materials without permission.
18. Environmental Compliance
Hott Bins collects and manages wastewater in accordance with applicable local environmental regulations and disposal requirements.
Wastewater generated during the cleaning process is handled responsibly and disposed of through approved methods when required.
19. Right to Refuse Service
Hott Bins reserves the right to refuse, suspend, cancel, or reschedule service for any reason that may create:
- Safety concerns
- Environmental concerns
- Regulatory concerns
- Equipment risks
- Unreasonable service conditions
Customers will be notified whenever possible if service cannot be completed as scheduled.
By scheduling service, submitting payment, or participating in a recurring service plan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
